Crochet Group
Thursday at 11am
There's something rather lovely about sitting with a hook and yarn whilst chatting with people who understand exactly why you've got five unfinished projects on the go. Our weekly, 90-minute, crochet group brings together crafters of all abilities to stitch, share and socialise in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
£5.00

More about Crochet Group:
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced crocheter, you'll find your place here amongst like-minded people who share your passion for this craft. Coming together over a shared interest allows you to form meaningful friendships sustained by commonality, and there's always someone on hand to help if you get stuck on a tricky stitch or need advice on a pattern.
The beauty of our crochet group is its flexibility and friendly spirit. These sessions aren't about creating perfect finished pieces - they're about the joy we have and the friends we make who share our enjoyment of crafts. Work on whatever project currently has your attention: a cosy blanket, a delicate shawl, amigurumi animals or granny squares. The repetitive nature of many crochet projects allows you to memorise the pattern, so you can focus on socialising without constantly referring back to instructions.
What you'll experience:
Crochet can be an incredible social activity, allowing you to share projects, exchange ideas and build friendships. The support and camaraderie found in crochet communities can be particularly valuable for those dealing with anxiety, loneliness, or simply looking for a meaningful connection. Beyond the social benefits, the rhythmic, repetitive motions of crochet can reduce stress and anxiety, promote relaxation and even enhance cognitive function.
When you crochet in a group and get stuck on something, there's always someone there to help you out, offer advice about modifying patterns or share knowledge about new techniques or designers. Many of our members say the weekly gathering is the highlight of their week - a regular opportunity to get out, connect with others and engage in a creative activity that's both calming and satisfying.
Bring your own project along, or we can provide hooks and wool to get you started. Refreshments are included in the suggested £5 donation. Whether you're working on your first chain stitch or tackling a complex pattern, you're welcome here.
Not sure if this class is for you? Send us a message and we’ll get back to you.
