“Contacting a counsellor for the first time can feel daunting, but I'm here to listen without judgement, whatever you're facing. I offer a safe space where you can be the 'real you' - whether that's face-to-face in Bexhill or remotely via Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp or phone. A good relationship between client and counsellor is fundamental for developing trust and growth, and I'm committed to creating that environment where you can truly understand yourself.”

Alison's approach:

Alison uses an integrative approach to counselling, drawing on person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), gestalt therapy, transactional analysis and brief solution-focused therapy. This means she can adapt her methods to suit your individual needs and what will work best for you. Her integrative style allows for flexibility - sometimes you might need practical strategies to manage anxiety, whilst other times you might benefit from deeper exploration of patterns and relationships.

She believes that a good relationship between client and counsellor is fundamental for developing trust, confidence and growth. In your sessions with Alison, you'll find a safe place to talk where you can be the "real you" - without pretence, without judgement, and without fear. Alison provides a compassionate, supportive environment where you can develop a greater understanding about yourself with someone who truly listens and encourages the working together aspect that counselling provides.
