Thermo-Auricular Ear Candling

Thermo-Auricular Ear Candling

Monday - Saturday

Ear candling, also known as thermo-auricular therapy, is a complementary practice that some people find relaxing and use to support symptoms associated with the ear, nose and throat.

The treatment involves placing a hollow, cone-shaped tube (or 'candle') made of cotton soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs into the ear canal.

Important safety information:

While our practitioner is highly trained and takes every care when carrying out this treatment, clients should be aware that there is a risk of burns, possible ear canal blockage from candle wax, and damage to the eardrum. This treatment should not be used if you have:

  • Grommets or ventilation tubes in your ears

  • Recent ear surgery

  • Perforated eardrums

  • Acute ear infections

  • Any ear-related medical conditions

We strongly recommend consulting your GP before undergoing ear candling, particularly if you have any ear, nose or throat concerns. This is a complementary therapy and should never replace proper medical treatment or professional ear care from your doctor or audiologist.

This is a complementary treatment that some people find relaxing as part of their general wellbeing routine. However, if you have genuine concerns about ear wax buildup or ear health, please consult your GP or a qualified audiologist.
