More about Qi Gong:

Pronounced "chee gong", qi gong translates roughly as "life force" and "skill cultivated through steady practice". That's exactly what this ancient Chinese practice offers you.

According to traditional Chinese philosophy, vital energy flows through your body, sustaining every cell and system. When this energy becomes blocked or stagnant, you might feel unwell or out of balance. Qi gong helps restore that natural flow.

The movements are slow, coordinated and designed to promote blood and lymphatic drainage, whilst keeping your joints mobile and healthy. You'll also be working on your balance, strength and body awareness. Even a few minutes of practice can have an invigorating and rejuvenating effect, while regular practice brings deeper benefits to your nervous system, digestion, respiratory function and overall vitality.

What you'll experience:

Research shows that qi gong can improve balance, coordination and spatial awareness, reducing your risk of falls and helping you move through daily life with greater confidence. Studies also suggest it can support memory, focus and information processing, while changing areas of the brain associated with these cognitive functions.

Beyond the physical, many people find qi gong profoundly calming. The deep breathing and relaxation that are central to the practice help release anxiety and transform negative emotions into positive ones. It's a practice that nourishes both body and spirit, strengthening your internal organs while creating a sense of balance and inner peace.

Practised regularly, qi gong helps to develop concentration and mental strength, and people who've made it part of their lives often say it keeps them fit and healthy throughout the years. This is a practice that adapts to you - accessible whether you're eighteen or eighty, and gentle enough to do throughout your entire life.
