More about Pump & Tone:
Working to upbeat music, you'll use barbells and free weights to burn fat, gain strength and tone your entire body. The beauty of this class is in its simplicity: light to moderate weights combined with lots of repetitions means you're building lean, defined muscle rather than bulk. The high-energy group environment with motivating music makes the time fly by, and you'll often surprise yourself by pushing harder than you would on your own.
Don't worry if you've never lifted weights before. You choose your own weight level, so whether you start light or go heavier, you're in complete control. Our instructors will guide you through each exercise with proper form, and you'll build confidence using weights that you can take into other areas of your fitness routine.
What you'll experience:
A typical pump class includes a mix of squats, deadlifts, lunges, bicep curls, push ups, chest presses, overhead presses and crunches - essentially a full-body workout that targets every major muscle group. You can expect to burn around 500 calories during a 50-minute session, and because you're building muscle, your metabolism gets a boost that keeps working long after the class ends.
The lean muscle development you'll experience creates that toned, defined look many people are after, without the bulk. If you've been avoiding weights because you think they'll make you look too muscular, this class will change your mind. Light weights and high repetitions trigger your body's endurance muscles, giving you strength, definition and improved bone health.
The best part? There's something magical about moving to energetic music alongside others who are on their own fitness journeys. You'll leave feeling stronger, energised and probably a bit sweaty - in the best possible way.
