More about Adaptive / Chair Yoga:
Adaptive yoga, sometimes called chair yoga, modifies traditional poses so they can be performed while seated or using a chair for support.
Every breath, stretch and movement is designed to meet you exactly where you are, whether you're managing mobility challenges, recovering from injury, living with chronic pain, or simply prefer the stability and comfort of a seated practice.
The chair becomes your anchor - a sturdy, supportive prop that allows you to focus on what truly matters: connecting your breathing, body and mind.
From gentle twists and forward folds to strengthening poses and relaxation techniques, you'll be surprised at the depth and variety of movements possible from your seat.
What you can experience:
Research shows that adaptive yoga can improve flexibility, strength, balance and range of motion, while also reducing joint pain and enhancing circulation. But the benefits extend far beyond the physical. Many people find it helps lower stress levels, lift mood, ease anxiety and improve overall mental wellbeing.
This practice is particularly welcoming for older adults, anyone with arthritis or chronic conditions, those who use wheelchairs, people recovering from surgery, or anyone who finds traditional yoga inaccessible. Our qualified instructors understand that every body is unique, and they'll guide you through modifications that honour your individual needs.
If you can breathe, you can do yoga. Come and discover a practice that adapts to you, not the other way around.
